Unique Glass Objects, 2009

A week in Orrefors glass mill at Kosta Bruk turned into sketches of sand dunes in the desert, inspired by the raw material of glass.

What at first appeared to be impossible for the foreman at the glass mill later became a feasible challenge. The solution was to first blow a core, and then manually add strips of glass, which were joined using various steel tools.

A total of 20 different glass objects were produced where each individual specimen is completely unique in its form. The Nasjonalmuseum in Oslo has acquired a vase, and a number have been sold to art collectors worldwide.
